Excited that “In the Park” received the Newburyport Bank Award for Best Work in Oil and that it also sold. Many thanks to juror Lauren O’Neal, the organizers of the exhibit, and the collector.

Here are five new pastels done on location this summer in beautiful Kochel am See and Walchensee near the Bavarian Alps. Another one needs finishing touches and is on my easel in my studio back home in Hampton, NH. “Walchensee, Bavaria” sold at the August Show of the Art Guild of the Kennebunks in Kennebunkport, ME.

“Evening Glow” (Pastel, 9″ x 12″) at the Art Guild of the Kennebunks’ Brick Store Museum Exhibit in Kennebunk, ME. The show runs September 13 – October 13.

Thrilled to report that “Canadian Mist” was sold at the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod’s National Juried Exhibition “For Pastels Only,” which ended August 11. Thank you to the organizers of this great show and to my new collector!

The Art Guild of the Kennebunks’ June Show at the Masonic Lodge, Kennebunkport, ME runs June 14-16. These are my two pieces in the exhibit. Happy that “Seagrass Lake Park 3” received the First Place for Pastels Award.

Happy to announce that “Marshland” received the Institution for Savings Charitable Foundation Award for Best Work in Oil.

G. Willikers: Exhibition of Families First’s “2019 Artists of the Seacoast” calendar’s artists, Portsmouth, NH, Jan. 2-31. My painting “Monhegan Island 8” was selected for the month of May. Since the original sold, “Winter Light” (Pastel, 12″ x 16″), which was in the 2014 Artists of the Seacoast calendar, was included in the exhibition. Happy to hear that it just found a new home as well. Now on display and for sale: “Monhegan Surf 3″ (Pastel, 9″ x 12”).

This show at the Woodman Museum in Dover, NH, curated by Elena Sarni of Pine Tree Pop-Up, runs Nov. 23 – Dec. 23 (Fridays through Sundays). “Monhegan Surf 3″ (Pastel, 9″ x 12”) and “Cormorants 2″ (Pastel, 5″ x 7”) are two of my paintings in the exhibit. Throughout the month of April the New Hampshire Art Association’s Art-imals exhibit focuses on animals, partnering with Cocheco Valley Humane Society to raise awareness of the importance of adopting animals. “Looking Out” (Pastel, 8″ x 12″) and “At the Edge” (Pastel, ) are two of my paintings in the show.
