The Great Bay Stewards Annual Show

The Great Bay Stewards hold their 18th Annual Art of Great Bay Show at the Great Bay Discovery Center in Greenland , NH, April 5-7. “White Crest Beach” and “Tumbling Down” are two of my paintings in the show. Pleased that “Tumbling Down” found a new home.

Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod

“Sand Beach, Acadia” (Pastel, 12″ x 16″) at the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod’s National Juried Exhibition “For Pastels Only” (June 27 – July 22, Cape Cod Cultural Center, South Yarmouth, MA). I’m honored to have received the Barbara Stone Memorial Award for the painting. Many thanks to the Juror of Selection, Corey Pitkin, and the Juror of Awards, Christine Ivers, for her thoughtful comments, as well as the wonderful team of show organizers. Happy that it sold.

Newburyport Art Association “Floral Pastels”

“Floral Pastels & Miniatures” is an exhibition to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the NAA Hills Gallery and honor its namesake, Newburyport Art founder Laura Coombs Hills. Newburyport, MA, Dec. 6 – Jan. 15, 2023.

Christine Molitor Johnson, Sue Ferlazzo, Wanda Blanchard, and Jamie Yalla, four members of the Newburyport Garden Club, have contributed to the show by creating interpretive floral arrangements to accompany select artworks.

Happy that “Tundra Flowers 2” was one of the selected pieces.

Woodman Museum

Art Guild of the Kennebunks: Awards Show

Newburyport Art Association / Firehouse Gallery – Love is Love

Pleased that “Fantasia” (Pastel, 11″ x 14″) was selected to be included in this exhibition in collaboration with the Firehouse Center for the Arts in Newburyport, MA. Like many of my abstract or semi-abstract pieces it is based on observed landscapes that are expanded and transformed into an imaginary world in the process of painting.

Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery (NHAA) – “Perfect Pairings”

These are two pastels, based on a view from the cliffs of Monhegan Island in Maine, which I transformed in various paintings of my “Looking Down” series. Most of the pieces in this series, which encompasses works in pastel, oil, and acrylic, are in private collections, but some are still available. These are my first paintings fresh off the easel this year, framed and ready to go to the New Hampshire Art Association’s “Perfect Pairings” show, which runs February 3 – 28. They can be purchased separately or with a 10% discount as a set.
